Even though you don't need to be an anatomy expert to workout for your fitness, it's always good to know a little bit about the function of the muscles you work out.
Here, I show you how to work out two of the gluteal muscles named gluteus medius and minimus. The primary functions of these two muscles are hip abduction and internal rotation. As you train these muscles, you work out some other muscles in the hip area and even in the upper body.
To get a strong, healthy gluteal muscles don't forget to workout the other major gluteal muscle, gluteus maximus. I'll show you some more exercises for that muscle in a different article.
